The Little Bookroom loves to be busy, busy, busy with events. We adore reader engagement on all levels. So whether it’s Storytime, Book Club, Book Launches, there are plenty of ways to engage with books as well as the authors and illustrators who create them.

We host Book Clubs each term for readers in grades 1&2, 3&4, 5&6 and High School where there are two groups, one of which exclusively reads Queer YA, but is open for all High Schoolers!
Signing up for a term, Book Clubbers receive two books which they will read in advance of the two meetings each term. We then meet to talk about them over hot chips. Where possible, we invite the author and/or illustrator to join us.
Book Clubs
From book launches to writing/illustration workshops, from author talks to our very own ‘Kids’ Book Fest’, we’ve got a lot going on! Not to mention our quarterly ‘Book Chat’ for Teachers and Librarians. Have a look at all our upcoming events.
Book Launches, Book Chat, and other events!
Unfortunately, in our lovely location in Fitzroy North, we’re unable to offer in-store Storytime.
Luckily! The amazing team at Yarra Libraries run Storytime 4 days a week, 200 meters from our door!
